Overview
The Retrofit Assessor is the starting point for a safe, proportionate and whole-house retrofit plan. This course develops the surveying discipline to understand how a dwelling is built, how it uses energy and where improvements could introduce unintended consequences.
You will work through the evidence-gathering process: the building fabric, heating and hot water, ventilation, occupancy, energy performance and signs of damp or moisture risk. You will then learn how assessment findings feed the Medium-Term Improvement Plan and the wider PAS 2035 project process.
The training supports professionals working within the PAS 2035 and TrustMark environment. It does not replace any separate energy-assessment licence, qualification or scheme registration required for the work you undertake.
